Educational and Professional Background
Mark McConnell received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Bowling Green State University, with a Minor in History. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Detroit School of law, cum laude. Mr. McConnell has been practicing law at Angelo A. Plakas and Associates, P.C. since 1995. Prior to coming to Angelo A. Plakas and Associates, P.C. he was a research attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals, researching all facets of criminal and civil law.
While in law school, he was the Assistant Student Editor and Articles Editor for the Michigan Business Law Journal, 1992-1993. He was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for having the highest grade in Constitutional Law and Trial Practice. He was a participant in the G. Mennen Williams Moot Court Competition. He was listed in the 1992 publication, Who's Who in American Law Students.

He is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Federal Bar Association - Eastern District of Michigan, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Suburban Bar Association.
